AFFORDABLE SENIOR HOUSING FOR WASHINGTON
For nearly 15 years WCHT has been dedicated to establishing and maintaining affordable housing in the Town of Washington for all persons of moderate means, while maintaining the historic and aesthetic qualities of the community. Founded by the clergy and churches of Washington, The Trust is comprised of volunteers who keep the common good and the need for affordable housing in mind. This democratically controlled non-profit group to date has helped secure State of Connecticut grants to build 14 moderate income apartments at Dodge Farm, federal grants for its home-improvement and energy conservation program, as well as State money for the town through a Housing Partnership incentive.

Construction has been completed for twelve Senior Apartments on six acres of donated land in Washington Depot. Two, six unit, colonial style buildings located off River Rd., on Worcester Rd. are ready for occupancy. Washington Seniors wishing to receive an application for senior housing should contact the Washington Senior Center at (860) 868-0735 or write to the Elderly Housing Mamagement at EHM Riverwoods, 2666 State Street, Hamden, Ct. 06517.
